Compact safety controller for demanding robotics and mobile solutions

The SSCU series is developed specifically for safe industrial robotics and autonomous transport vehicles (AGV/AMR). As a powerful, freely programmable safety controller with an integrated serial data interface, it impresses with short cycle times of just 4 ms – ideal for safety-critical real-time applications. 

With up to six connected scanners, it offers the ideal platform for implementing the safety functions required for AGVs as well as for area monitoring in production and robotics. Special program modules for steering angle and speed-dependent area switching or status-dependent activation of monitoring areas simplify the implementation of even complex tasks.

The SSCU also features an EtherCAT interface with FSoE master function. Thanks to seamless integration and intuitive programming via the proven SafePLC², the SSCU/1/x not only reduces commissioning times in the long term, but also long-term maintenance costs.

The basic version of the series has 16 safe inputs, 8 safe outputs and 4 encoder interfaces for optional connection of ABZ, HTL, SINCOS, resolver, SSI, HDSL or EnDAT2.2.  
The SSCU/1 also has an EtherCAT interface with FSoE master function.
